We visit you at home or at work, scan the computer thoroughly and remove anything that should not be there. We then check your browser, start-up programs and security settings so the problem does not come straight back.
Before we leave we make sure your antivirus is working, your updates are on and you know what to look out for next time.

If someone has called claiming to be from Microsoft or your bank, or you have clicked a link you now regret, do not panic. We check the computer for remote access tools, change the passwords that matter and help you contact your bank if needed. There is no judgement, it happens to a lot of people.

Virus and malware removal is covered by a Home Repair Visit at £45.00 for a 1 hour engineer visit. For business computers it is a Business Repair Visit at £55.00 for a 1 and a half hour engineer visit.
If anything extra is needed, such as a replacement drive or paid security software, it is quoted before any work starts.

Will you need to wipe my computer?
Usually not. Most infections can be removed without losing your files. If a full clean install is the safest option we will explain why first and back up your documents and photos before we do anything.
How do I know if my computer has a virus?
Common signs are pop-ups you did not ask for, a browser that goes to strange pages, the computer running very slowly, or friends receiving odd emails from you. If in doubt, give us a call.
Do I need to buy antivirus software?
Not always. Modern versions of Windows include good built-in protection and we will make sure it is switched on and up to date. If you would prefer extra cover we can recommend and set up a suitable option.
