The IT Tech provides Computer Repair Lincoln and we don’t believe in keeping physical printed paperwork, it provides too many security issues. We use a number of digital applications with reputable companies to conduct our business and keep things running smoothly and securely.

To create your booking with The IT Tech, you must provide us with certain information such as your business name, your name, your phone number, your postal address and your email address.  

Why we need your information and how we use it

We rely on a number of legal basis to collect, use and share your information, including :

As needed to provide our services, such as when we use your information to create a booking our booking application software, to settle disputes or to provide customer support.If necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about historic jobs we have completed for you.

As necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as:(a) providing and improving our services. We use your information to provide the services you requested and in our legitimate interest to improve our services.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about our customers is important to The IT Tech. We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances as follows –

Servicem8 – This is our appointment booking app where we create new appointments for you and hold information about historic jobs we have completed for you. Your information is only used to create new bookings, store job information, invoice information and historic visit information.

Stripe – This is our online payment system. Only invoice payment references are held on this system and we don’t put customer data directly into this system to generate invoices, this is all done through Wave accountancy that links our invoices to Stripe to allow you to complete online payments.

Service Providers – The IT Tech engages with certain trusted service providers to provide services and components. We will share your information with these third parties, but only to the extent to provide delivery of services.

Business Transfers – If we sell or merge The IT Tech, we may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by the law.

Compliance with laws – We may collect, use, retain, and share your information if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to:(a) respond to legal process or to government requests;(b) enforce our agreements, terms and policies;(c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security or technical issues; or(d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide your services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.
